[FR] Never Give Up on Anything with Moussa Camara

Podcast summary
In this new episode of the leadeship positif Podcast, I have the honor of welcoming Moussa Camara, a visionary entrepreneur and tireless bridge-builder who is reshaping the face of entrepreneurship in France.
Founder of the association Les Déterminés, Moussa has devoted his life to a simple yet powerful conviction: talent is everywhere, even if opportunities are not. His mission? To unleash the potential of entrepreneurs from underprivileged neighborhoods and rural areas by connecting them to business networks.
But to understand the man, we need to go back to the beginning of his journey. It all started in Cergy-Pontoise, in the "Croix-Petit" neighborhood. A child from a large family originally from Mali, this is where he launched his very first "business": a cart-return service at the local supermarket. A school of humility and hard work.
In our conversation, we dive into the heart of his incredible resilience. We speak candidly about how he transformed the failure of his first company (logistics and telecoms) into a springboard to build something greater. It’s a true masterclass in "Grit" — that combination of passion and perseverance I had discussed with Angela Duckworth.
Finally, we look to the future. Together, we explore how to build ecosystems that truly reflect our society. Moussa shares his ambitious vision with the launch of Time4, an investment fund created in partnership with Daphni, HEC and Live for Good, designed to finance those too-often-overlooked entrepreneurs who are nonetheless building the economy of tomorrow.
In this episode, we discuss:
- Roots: His childhood in Cergy and the work ethic instilled by his family and his first job with shopping carts.
- The Guts of an Entrepreneur: How to bounce back after bankruptcy and turn anger into positive energy.
- The Movement: The creation of Les Déterminés to build a bridge between “the street” and the boardrooms.
- The DNA: Why “Never give up on anything” is a vital survival skill.
- The Future (Time4): Our shared ambition to finance excellence, wherever it comes from.
Moussa reminds us that Positive Leadership is not just about climbing the ladder, but about building the elevator for others.
